In Retrospect and Intellect

Making new friends; rediscovering old ones.
Picking up a new accessory, rediscovering an instrument.
Picking up new habits, rediscovering said habits (turns out they were good habits I used to have)
Spending time with friends, rekindling friendships.
Making the right choices (the who-knows-how-many-times later), recalling breaking previous rules.
Cheers to 2008.
That was punny

There’s nothing like backing up a 90% occupied hard drive onto a bigger one, only occupying about 9% of the new space. of course, with the help of better software recommended from a larker (not a lurker).
There’s nothing like driving out to Oshawa, and then home against the wind.
There’s nothing like driving up to Vaughn in hopes that the government finished fixing the 401 (they haven’t) to almost peg your friends with golf balls.
There’s nothing like being with friends.

There’s also nothing like leveling your characters in Dissidia after you’ve completed all your exams. mmmmmm.

Average Children: Children who have some friends but are not as well liked as popular children.
Controversial Children: Children who are liked by many peers but also disliked by many.
Neglected Children: Children who tend to be socially isolated and, though they have few friends, are not necessarily disliked by others.

I swear to you, if I have another one, I’m going to start blogging them, in detail.
On another note, WP 2.7 is out, and the new interface is quite the improvement. Hop on the bandwagon folks!

A Return to Winamp

Without realizing it myself, I’ve been slowly sucked into the need to use Apple iTunes. Here’s how they suck you in after you buy their product:
1) They’ll require you to use their software to sync your iPod product. You’ll update install iTunes.
2) You want to play with fancypants apps. You’ll have to update to iTunes 8.
3) iTunes picks up some hard to finds (say, Mirror’s Edge soundtrack) and you can only play those files in iTunes.
4) You’re hooked.
Of course, iTunes purchasers should note that their media can of course be converted into non-encrypted mp3 digital files (through various means).
Winamp, I’m home for Christmas.

This is definitely one of them CAD t-shirts that I like more than the rest of them!
In another lesson learned today, clean installs are always better than upgrades, esp. when its 3 distrubutions worth of upgrades. However, that did not, in any way, fix my wifi stability issues in Ubuntu. I suppose Ill have to handle all my torrents in XP then.
